Swiss Clients do not pay any additional fees or customs duties.
In general: any import fees are the sole responsibility of the client.
Switzerland (no member of the EU) has currently has free trade agreements with the following countries:
Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea Republic, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, Ukraine.
If you are ordering from one of these countries, you will profit from customs duty preferences or even a full exemption from customs duties for goods of preferential origin (those preferences refer to customs duties not to import tax. You always have to pay your national VAT upon reception of your package). All Prettie Lanes Originals are goods of preferential origin (not valid for fashion jewelry). You can also find more information on your national customs duty department websites - these are the official authorities responsible and providing binding(!) information. All information stated might be subject to changes and are not guaranteed by Prettie Lanes. Countries not listed may calculate customs duties on your order. Any import fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Please note: The regulations and information stated, solely apply to the goods of the Prettie Lanes company as it fulfills all requirements and files all necessary documents for you to profit from customs exemption regulations . If you order from other companies, regulations differ as this is an additional service and not obligatory.

Prettie Lanes Originals (garments, hats, belts etc.) are handmade in Switzerland and are goods of preferential origin. All necessary documents are provided/filled out and directly enclosed to your package, visible from the outside.
Prettie Lanes does not take any responsibility for any import fees/taxes/customs duties in general or for miscalculated fees/taxes/duties as this calculation is out of Prettie Lanes hands and the sole responsibility of your national customs department. If you have the feeling that your import customs have been miscalculated, please contact your national customs department or logistics company (e.g Post) and request a detailed invoice (that is your legal right) and -if applicable- a refund. Prettie Lanes fills out all necessary and official forms for customs preferences where applicable. If you have troubles with customs duty calculations, Prettie Lanes is always happy to support you wherever possible.

DUTY FREE.
For clients ordering from a European Union country:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
Import Fees:
Full exemption from customs duties for goods of preferential origin.
You pay NO CUSTOMS DUTIES on Prettie Lanes Originals due to the preferential origin. You only pay your national VAT upon arrival of your order (including shipping) plus occasionally a small handling fee of your local carrier.
Please note: The import tax will be calculated by the customs duty department or your local logistics company (e.g. Post). If you are unsure whether the import fees are correct, just calculate your local VAT from the order value (incl postage) and double check if it approximately matches the amount to pay.
UNITED KINGDOM (UK)
DUTY FREE.
The United Kingdom officially left the European Union end of Dec 2020. However, the countries Switzerland and the UK agreed upon a new trade agreement that replaces the one with the EU (basically has same terms, conditions) and is valid from 1st January 2021.
Import Fees:
Full exemption from customs duties for goods of preferential origin.
You pay NO CUSTOMS DUTIES on Prettie Lanes Originals due to the preferential origin. You only pay your national VAT upon arrival of your order (including shipping) plus occasionally a small handling fee of your local carrier.
Please note: The import tax will be calculated by the customs duty department. So don’t misinterpret it as an invoice for customs duties.
