Step into the past with this exquisite dress, meticulously designed to transport you to the glamour of the 1950s. Made from dotted Chiffon fabric* in shades of Vintage White & Tan, this dress boasts an ethereal quality that drapes beautifully and moves gracefully with every step you take.

The classic silhouette of the 1950s is artfully recreated in this dress, with a cinched waist, high oval neckline and a wide gathered skirt that accentuates your feminine curves. The charming polka dot pattern adds a touch of playfulness to the overall sophistication.

As a true nod to the era’s style, this dress comes complete with a matching shawl. Whether you drape it delicately over your shoulders or wear it as an elegant accessory, the shawl adds an extra layer of refinement to your ensemble.

The dress is fully lined in Cotton and antistatic Rayon (extra skirt). Back, lapped metal zipper. Hand-stitched facings and details all over. Wide hem to add a beautiful, heavy drape and authentic feature from the past. Bra strap stays at the shoulder seam keep your bra invisible and in place at all times.

Upper: 100% Deadstock Polyester Chiffon from the Prettie Lanes Archives*.

Lining: 100% Rayon. 100% Cotton.

Professional dry clean or gentle handwash 30°C. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron/steam medium heat. Let fully dry after steaming. Always wash with zipper closed. Handwash with colors alike.

*Transparency note:

Prettie Lanes is not making any use of Polyester fibers for it’s day wear line since 2018. This fabric however was sourced in 2017 and carefully stored in the archives ever since. Gradually destocking the fabric archives had left two major options - using up the fabric or letting it go to waste. Avoiding waste is essential in the fashion industry and that is why Prettie Lanes decided to use the fabric and turn it into something beautiful even though it may not fully cover todays sourcing policies of this company. The fabric itself is in perfect condition.

Which size to choose depends on whether your prefer a more loose or close fit. Please choose your dress size by your bust size. The waist size can be customized if needed (choose from customization list).

The sizes listed refer to your bust size. A size 36 has a final garment measurement of 36,5" in the bust. This means = best fit for a max bust measurement of 36" + 0,5" wiggle room.  If you have a bust of 36,5" you may size up if you do not prefer a snug fit.
